A unique opportunity has arisen for an up-and-coming Head of to assume the number two position in the finance function of a high-growth technology platform on a permanent basis. Reporting into a very impressive, strategically-focused CFO, the successful candidate will have complete oversight of the function and how it is run, including process improvement activity. They will manage an existing team of 4.
The business, founded in 2009, has secured significant investment through various fundraising rounds and has won numerous awards. The finance team is well-regarded and high-performing; this role has been created to give the function increased direction whilst giving the CFO the opportunity to operate more strategically, day to day.
Candidates will be qualified (a background in external audit will be looked upon favourably but this is not a pre-requisite) and have experience in managing small to medium-sized teams. They will likely have come up through the ranks of SMEs, and thus be able to demonstrate hands-on experience gained in such an environment. Alternatively, they will come from a ‘big business’ background and be able to bring knowledge of processes and procedures more complex environments with an element of knowing what ‘good’ looks like.
There is a generous salary plus equity on offer for the successful candidate. The business has operated a flexible working policy for many years; the flexibility of which will likely only increase post-lockdown. Candidates on a shorter notice period would be a nice to have but candidates on 3-6 months’ notice should not be discouraged from applying. First stage interviews to take place w/c 22nd June
