Our client is a growing listed player in the Oil and Gas sector, who are looking for a Group Financial Controller following a period of growth.
As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting across the organisation. You will be responsible for consolidating financial statements, managing the year-end audit process, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the group financial reporting process, overseeing the consolidation and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the year-end audit, collaborating with external auditors and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Stay abreast of accounting standards and regulatory changes, implementing best practices and ensuring compliance.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across finance, M&A, and treasury.
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA ideally Big 4) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in financial reporting within the Oil and Gas industry or a related sector.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in owning a consolidation and financial reporting processes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organisational abilities, and the capability to meet tight deadlines.
